The IBF announced that the Naoya Inoue (pictured) vs. Sam Goodman purse bid scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th has been cancelled. Coupled with the news that former champion Murodjon "MJ" Akhmadaliev will face Ricardo Espinoza Franco for the interim WBA title, the logical conclusion is that Inoue will retain all four belts leading into this fight. Top Rank recently said Inoue will defend his undisputed world super bantamweight crown against Goodman, an unbeaten Australian, on Tuesday, Dec. 24th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. Inoue will make a third defense of his undisputed crown within a single calendar year while looking to secure his tenth consecutive knockout. Inoue-Goodman will headline a special early-morning broadcast streaming live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+. In the co-feature, Yoshiki Takei (10-0, 8 KOs) will defend his WBO bantamweight world title against an opponent to be named.
