Isaac Chamberlain has withdrawn from his upcoming bout with Viddal Riley due to injury. Riley and Chamberlain were set to meet in a cruiserweight clash on Saturday, February 1st on the undercard of Adam Azim’s bout against ex-champ Sergey Lipinets at the OVO Arena Wembley (London). An injury sustained by Chamberlain while training for his grudge match with English champion Riley has ruled the Brixton-boxer out of the contest. Promoter Ben Shalom said: “Unfortunately Isaac has suffered an injury in training camp and is unable to box on February 1st. The fight between Viddal and Isaac has been a long time coming. We were excited to finally see them in the ring and are disappointed that won’t be happening next week as planned. We wish Isaac a speedy recovery. News on what’s next for Viddal will follow soon.’’
Fights fans can still look forward to a night of boxing as Adam Azim steps up to face Lipinets for the IBO juior welterweight championship. Any fans wishing to receive a refund should contact their point of purchase.
