Press Release: On September 22, 2006, Langel’s Restaurant in Highland, Indiana will host a Friday night weigh-in for the “Civic Center Rumble.” The next night, a grudge match awaits fans at the Hammond Civic Center in Hammond, Indiana. Headlining the show is the third match-up between the state junior welterweight champion, Jaime Alvarado (6-4-2, 4 KOs), originally of Mexico City against Hammond's Ruben “The Modern Day Warrior” Galvan (26-9-2, 9 KOs).  Their last meeting erupted into conflict between the two camps just two weeks earlier when Alvarado threatened to knock out Galvan during a press conference.
