Indiana card to help amateur boxing!

Press Release: Jack “Kid” Callahan of  Midwestern promoter One In A Million in association with Whirlpool Evansville, today announced they will donate a portion of the proceeds from the March  18 Evansville Explosion show  to to the award-winning Evansville Boxing Club for its next amateur boxing show.  “We all win when programs like the Evansville Boxing Club help young people become great citizens through good sportsmanship and discipline,” Callahan said. Local boxing hero and Whirlpool worker Kevin Payne 13-5-1 (6 KOs),  a welterweight who once stopped a purse-snatcher in an Evansville Wal-Mart store, will headline  against an opponent to be announced. Payne is prepar ing  to face the undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. on HBO in late April.  And, just added to the card, Daniel Maldonado, 18-2 (12 KOs), will continue his path towards boxing’s top tiers.   Also  state lightweight  c hampion Johnny “Kid One In A Million” Novak, 15-1 (6 KO's) will defend his title in one of boxing’s most competitive divisions, while undefeated women warriors “Merciless” Mary McGee, 5-0 (3 KO's) vs. Jill Emery, 4-0 (2 KO's), put their perfect records on the line.  The “Explosion” will also feature Middleweight Derrick “Superman” Findley, 2-1 (2 KO's) fresh from a nationally televised bout.
