Edited Press Release: Boxeo Azteca will travel to Memphis, Tennesee to present an IBF featherweight eliminator between Orlando Salido, 23-9, and Rogers Matagwa, 20-9 on March 18, 2006. Salido hasn't fought since September 2004 and hasn't won since April 2004, so it seems to be a violation of federal guidelines for the IBF to rate him #3 and allow him to compete in a title eliminator. Still, Salido is talented, so it should be a competitive bout. Super featherweight Eduardo Escobedo, 14-1, will face Terrence Roy, 8-16 in the co-feature. Veteran cruiserweight Ernest Mateen is also scheduled to fight.
