GL: How has everything gone in preparation for your February 21st bout against Ryan Ford (17-5) in Moscow at the Dynamo BasketHhall? Aslambek Idigov: "The training is going well, I am glad to work with Sugar Hill at the Kronk gym in Detroit. We have been working very hard over the last two and a half months. I don’t know about my opponent, I haven’t even looked! Preparation is about me I am excited to try new skills that Sugar thought me in the fight."
GL: What do you want a victory on February 21st to lead to?
AI: "I hope to fight on ShoBox in my next fight. The super middelweight division is packed with talent. I want to show American boxing fans and those world wide that I am coming."
GL: You're 17-0 with 7 KOs, and soon to be 18-0. Will 2020 be the year that you take your career to the next level?
AI: "I hope for a bright victory, I want to please the boxing fans. I look forward to a great year!"
GL: Other than victory do you have a prediction?
AI: "The audience always loves vivid fights, so I will try not to let my fans and boxing fans down. We show the preparations of our camp on the day of the battle, it will be fun."
GL: Will your next fight take place in the United States?
AI: "It all depends on my promoter Dmitry Salita, personally my desire, as I said earlier, is to show myself to the American public this year."
GL: Is there somebody out there that you feel would be the perfect guy for you to step up the level of opposition against?
AI: There are a lot of good boxers with whom I would like to fight. The first to come to mind are guys like Rocky Fielding, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. [Either one] would be a good challenge and test for me.
GL: Closing thoughts for the fans.
AI: "Watch boxing, cheer for the fighters. We in turn, will prepare and show spectacular fights for you, Ahkhmat power!"
