Ibragimovs head to Brooklyn

2000 silver medal winner to headline

Press release: Who said that MSG should be the only home for professional boxing in New York?  Who said that Brooklyn has no venue for a huge boxing crowd?  Who ever said that was wrong and we will prove it again on Saturday, December 11, 2004.

In a historical building of Atlantic Oceana located at 1029 Brighton Beach Avenue in Brooklyn boxing fans would see the Russian sensation and silver Olimpic medalist Sultan Ibragimov (13-0-11 KO’s) defending the WBO Asia-Pacific Heavyweight title vs. James “Hurricane” Walton (19-5-10 KO’s) and Timur Ibragimov (15-0-9 KO’s) defending the WBC Fecabox International Heavyweight Title vs. Billy Douglas Jr. (10-3-8 KO’s) proudly presented by Sal Musumeci's Final Forum and Sampson Lewkowicz, Matchmaker.

Since September 14, 2004 when more that twelve hundred boxing fans came to enjoy hometown debut of Dmitriy Salita, Brighton Beach Avenue,  well-known as a Russian capital of the United States,  became a new destination on the map of professional boxing world.

For the first time in American boxing history Atlantic Oceana will host a special attraction, three prominent boxers from Israel will be appearing in the Brooklyn Boxing Gala: Merhav “the Sergeant” Mohar, unbeaten Nimrod Koren and Hagar Shmuefeld, Israeli’s only female professional boxer.

Also appearing local hot prospects Jason Quick, Golden Gloves Champion and Derrick Rossi.
