Ibragimov Cousins, Kelley and Briggs Victorious!

Sultan Ibragimov stopped former cruiserweight champion Al "Ice"Cole in three rounds in the main event of decent night of action at the (pretty much empty) Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Ibragimov destroyed Cole with a barrage of power shots that prompted Arthur Mercante Jr. to stop the fight at the 1:46 mark of round three.

Timur Ibragimov remained unbeaten with an impressive third round KO over Ronald Bellamy. Official time of the stoppage was 2:56 of round three. Bellamy, a relative of former NY Knick great Walt Bellamy, was taken from the ring on a stretcher.

Former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs clobbered an overmatched Demetrice King. Briggs floored King with a big right hand and the referee stopped the massacre seconds later at the at the 1:49 mark of round two.

Former featherweight champion Kevin Kelley made his return to the Garden a successful one. Kelley, rusty at best, beat a game Felix St. Kitts when the referee stopped the bout at the 1:47 mark of round eight. This was the first win of what Kelley hopes will be another championship run.Â
