IBF says agreement reached for Scull vs. Shishkin vacant title fight

UPDATE: The IBF announced that the William Scull vs. Vladimir Shishkin purse bid (for the vacant super middleweight title) scheduled for today, August 20th, has been cancelled because "all parties have reached an agreement." No further details concerning the fight have been released yet.

Original story: With true world super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez having been stripped by the IBF, the next IBF title fight at 168 pounds will be #1 William Scull vs. #2 rated Vladimir Shishkin for the vacant title. A purse bid [was called for August 15th] the IBF. The little-known Scull is a German-based Cuban, age 32, with a pro record of 22-0. Shishkin is Russian born and fights out of the United States. He's 16-0 and 33 years old. Meanwhile, Alvarez will defend his world championship vs. Edgar Berlanga on September 14th.
