IBF puts purse bid back on calendar for Ennis vs. Crowley

An IBF purse bid for a mandatory title defense by Jaron Ennis vs. Cody Crowley is back on schedule just days after the IBF reported an agreement was reached between the two welterweights. The bidding process for the promotional rights to Ennis-Crowley is now scheduled for March 26th at noon Easten time. Ennis (pictured) is the IBF welterweight champion. He graduated from interim champion to full )IBF) champion when the true world welterweight champion, Terence Crawford, declined to fight him. Ennis' record is 31-0 and his last fight was back in July, a tenth-round knockout of Roiman Villa. Crowley, from Canada, is 22-0 and has been inactive for a year after winning a majority decision over the respected Abel Ramos. Crowley has only fought once per year during 2020-2023.
