Both men are Ukrainian. The contest, which was expected to be competitive, turned out to be one-sided from the opening bell. Hrytsiv (12-0) demonstrated his superiority and punching power, completely dominating the action. The champion set a pace that Radchenko (11-9) could not match.  The fight culminated prematurely in the second round when Hrytsiv cornered his opponent, forcing the referee to intervene and stop the contest. Radchenko, who was coming off a loss to WBC brodgerweight champion Kevin Lerena gave a performance was labeled as disappointing by several analysts present. They noted that the challenger appeared unwilling to compete at the level required for this fight.
