Filip Hrgovic TKO9 Moses Itauma ... Filip Hrgovic won the vacant IBF heavyweight championship, becoming the first Croatian to capture a heavyweight title. He got off the canvas to stop a totally exhausted Moses Itauma in the ninth round. Early in the second round, the previously undefeated Itauma landed a counter right that staggered Hrgovic and sent his right glove to the canvas. It counted as a knockdown but Hrgovic was not seriously hurt and fought on. Itauma won every round in the first half of the fight, but began to tire in round seven.  In round eight, Itauma nearly closed the show with a barrage of power shots. However, Itauma unloaded the kitchen sink trying to end it and wore himself. Hrgovic roared back and nailed the exhausted Brit repeatedly. The punishment continued, and with Itauma barely able to stand, referee Howard Foster stopped the fight just as the towel was thrown in from Itauma's corner. Next up for Hrgovic should be the IBF mandatory, Frank Sanchez.
