Hopkins pays a visit to Ibragimov

Press Release: WBO heavyweight titlist Sultan Ibragimov was treated to a meeting with one of boxing's great minds Wednesday when middleweight legend and current world light heavyweight champion Bernard ‘The Executioner’ Hopkins stopped by the Sultan’s gym to speak with Ibragimov, who is preparing for his February 23, 2008 unification bout with IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hopkins, who is coming off back-to-back wins over Winky Wright and Antonio Tarver, discussed the Klitschko bout with Ibragimov and invited the Dagestan native to his spring showdown with super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe. “I enjoy talking with Bernard and am honored that such a great champion came by the gym to see me. I’m looking forward to seeing him fight Calzaghe later this year.” said Ibragimov. “I can’t wait to see Sultan ringside carrying both of his heavyweight championship belts at Hopkins’ fight”. Said Boris Greenberg, Sultan’s out spoken manager. Klitschko vs Ibragimov, a 12 round heavyweight title unification bout, headlines a historic night of boxing presented by K2 Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing and will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing.  Tickets are on sale now.
