The win makes Hitchins (17-0 a legitimate contender at 140 pounds. Now 37-3, Zepeda's only prior losses were in world title bids against Regis Prograis and Jose Carlos Ramirez, the latter a majority decision loss. Hitchins dominated the entire fight against a willing and brave Zepeda, who did not stop seeking the knockout throughout the fight. The scores refelected Hitchins' dominance, 120-108 (twice) and 119-109.
