TGB Promotions' event producer Hervi Estrada was inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame (NBHOF) as part of its class of 2025. This honor recognizes Hervi's contributions to the sport of boxing, both inside and outside the ring. Hervi's journey in boxing began in 1979 at the Azteca Boxing Gym in Southeast Los Angeles under the mentorship of Arturo Mota. Many greats walked through the doors of Azteca during those years, including Julio Cesar Chavez and Hector Camacho. Over the years, he has worn almost every hat in the business – boxer, trainer, cut man, matchmaker, promoter, mentor, gym owner. His career spans over three decades, during which he has been instrumental in organizing countless boxing events across the country, large and small. During his time as co-owner of the Antelope Valley Boxing Club in Palmdale, Hervi helped nurture the next generation of boxing talent.
The NBHOF induction ceremony took place Sunday at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, CA, marking the organization's 10th anniversary. Hervi joins a distinguished group of inductees, including boxing legends Larry Holmes, Ricardo “Finito” Lopez, and Fernando Vargas, among others.
"Hervi's dedication to boxing is unparalleled," said Tom Brown, President of TGB Promotions. "His passion, integrity, and mentorship have left an indelible mark on the sport. We are honored to have him as part of our team and celebrate this well-deserved recognition."
According to the WBO, Andy Foster, Executive Officer of the California State Athletic Commission, was also inducted into the 2025 National Boxing Hall of Fame. Boxingtalk salutes all the inductees.
