Heavyweights weigh in at MSG

Ibragimov 221; Mora 256.75

The four heavyweights fighting on the Madison Square Garden show this Saturday weighed in today, two days ahead of their bouts. The headliner, Sultan Ibragimov, did not take off his sweat suit, but based on his weight of 221 pounds, seems to be in excellent shape. Ibragimov weighed 220 for his career-best win over Lance Whitaker, compared to 231 for his last fight, a draw with Ray Austin. Ibragimov was supposed to be challenging Shannon Briggs for the WBO title, but Briggs came down with pneumonia and Ibragimov instead will be facing Javier Mora, who weighed in at 256 3/4. Meanwhile, Roman Greenberg arrived from England at 234 pounds. Greenberg will be in a ten rounder against former cruiserweight contender Michael Simms, who tipped the scale at 213 pounds.--Scott ShafferÂ
