Omar Nino W12 Brian Viloria... Fighting for the first time outside his native Mexico, unknown Omar Nino stunned the heavily hyped Brian Viloria to capture the WBC 108-pound championship in Las Vegas. Nino, 24-2, won a unanimous decision by scores of 117-112, 117-111 and 118-110. Nino, who became a father just two weeks ago, was credited with outlanding Viloria 245 punches to 113 as Viloria barely used his jab at all. The upset scuttled talk of Viloria participating in a unification bout with WBA titleholder and teenage superstar Koki Kameda in Japan. Perhaps Nino will get the opportunity to fight Kameda. Viloria, a 2000 Olympian, suffered his first pro loss and drops to 19-1. source: OLN network
