Ricky Hatton W12 Juan Lazcano... World (and IBO) junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton lived up to his billing as the Pride of Manchester. After entering the ring in a fat suit in a self-deprecating tribute to his "Ricky Fatten" nickname, Hatton won about ten out of twelve rounds to defeat Juan Lazcano by a wide margin in front of a large hometown crowd (official scores were 120-110, 118-110 and 120-108 but it clearly should not have been scored a shutout). The crafty Hatton had one tough moment when Lazcano hurt him in the tenth round, but Hatton pulled one of the oldest tricks in the book, asking for and receiving a timeout to have his shoelaces tied. Hatton almost certainly would have won even without the brief respite. source: vs. network
