On February 22, 2007 the Mountaineer Race track in Chester, West Viriginia will host the return of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman and resurging heavyweight contender Joe Mesi's first ten round bout since his HBO televised victory over Vassiliy Jirov. Neither Rahman nor Mesi have opponents as this goes to print.  Top Rank Inc will promote, Versus Network will televise. Mesi has informed Boxingtalk that he will seek relicensing in New York for a possible showdown with Rahman in Western New York next summer.
