Harrison retains title vs. Hussein

In Scottland on Saturday, Scott Harrison knocked down Nedal Hussein in the fifth round Saturday and won by unanimous decision in the sixth defense of his WBO featherweight title.  The official scores were 116-111 (twice) and 117-111. Harrison, much maligned after his draw with Victor Polo earlier this year, improved to 25-2-2. Dominican hard man Joan Guzman could be next for him. Hussein falls to 39-3, and 0-2 in world title bouts (he lost to Oscar Larios on a 122-pound title shot  in 2004). On the undercard, 18-year-old Olympic silver medalist Amir Khan won his third straight fight since turning pro. The young lightweight stopped journeyman Steve Gethin, 9-19, in the third round. source: Associated Press
