Vivian Harris W12 Juan Lazcano...Vivian Harris moved to the top of the list of junior welterweight contenders with a unanimous decision but close over veteran Juan Lazcano. There were no knockdowns but Lazcano lost a point for low blows. Harris won the first two rounds easily but Lazcano got going in the third, showing that although he had few physical advantages over Harris, he was the superior infighter. Lazcano had his moments throughout the rest of the fight, working his way back into the fight in the middle rounds. Harris wisely boxed instead of trading toe-to-toe with Lazcano, and controlled the action when it was fought at a distance. Harris seemed to win both championship rounds to seal the deal. Harris, now 28-2-1, won by scores of 114-113 and 115-112 (twice). Lazcano performed respectably, but drops to 37-4-1. source: hbo world championship boxing
