October 21, 2004 3:00PM EST - WBA junior welterweight champion "Vicious" Vivian Harris told FightWorld that he might back out of Saturday's bout with Oktay Urkal unless he is able to come to an agreement about how much of his purse he is actually entitled to. "Hear this, and hear it now. If these (people) don't stop playing with my money, I'm pulling out of the fight. It's that simple," an enraged Harris told FightWorld just moments ago. "In eight weeks, my purse has gone from $450,000 to now where I'm barely going to be taking home $60,000. Fuck that, I'm not fighting for people who are stealing my money, and are making more than I am. They need to straighten this out right now, or the fight is off. I don't give a fuck if it means losing my title." The crux of the situation stems from a buyout settlement between Harris and his former manager, Shelly Finkel in which Harris agreed to pay Finkel $125,000 to officially terminate their contract, with at least part of the proceeds to come from Harris' purse from Saturday's bout. Shortly thereafter, Harris claims that Finkel demanded that Harris an additional $10,000 to cover legal fees.
