World-class boxing returns to the Mohegan Sun on Friday, October 21. In the highly anticipated main event, Connecticut’s Light Heavyweight, Eric Harding (22-3-1, 7KO’s) will take on Brooklyn’s own undefeated Daniel Judah (20-0-3, 10KO’s) for the vacant NABF Title. Harding, who is known to have given Roy Jones Jr. his toughest challenge in his prime, is looking to show his one-sided victory over David Telesco in February is not a fluke and that he is once again a contender in the Light Heavyweight division. On the other hand, Judah looks to improve on his undefeated record as he plans to take down one of the division’s biggest names and bring the Judah dynasty even closer to boxing-greatness. This fight promises to be an electrifying event
In the co-feature, undefeated Heavyweight from Long Island Derric Rossy (8-0-0, 5KO’s) faces his first true test as he goes up against David Polk (9-4-0, 0KO’s) from Ohio. Rossy, a former college football standout is only 25 years old and has barely been boxing two years. He can give his career a tremendous push if he can take out the experienced Polk, who has never been knocked out.
In other fights, up-and-coming female Junior Welterweight, New York’s Chika Nakamura (1-0-0, 1KO) will take on Ohio’s Iris Griffin (0-3-0) in a rematch from Nakamura’s debut. In a Super Middleweight bout, undefeated prospect Rob Kucher (2-0-0, 1KO) from the Bronx will go up against Brooklyn’s hard-punching Jameson Bostic (2-2-0, 2KO’s). In two Featherweight matches, two of Connecticut’s prospects will look to improve on their undefeated records. Manchester’s Matt Remillard (5-0-0, 4KO’s) will take on Alexis Rubin (0-3-0) from Ohio, while Hartford’s Mike Oliver (9-0-0, 5KO’s) will take on an opponent to be announced.
