Happy Birthday Joe DeGuardia

Joe Celebrates the 22nd Anniversary of His 21st Birthday

The year was 1964.  A gallon of gas was $0.30, a dozen eggs were going for $0.54 and a first class stamp was $0.05. The NY Yankees lost the Major league Championship to the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Beatles invade America. Cassius Clay beat Sonny Liston for the Heavyweight Championship, King won the noble peace prize, no not Don King, Martin Luther King. Ford rolled out the first sporty Mustang. The Drifters were hanging out “Under the Boardwalk,” and the Zombies said, “She’s Not There.” And the DeGuardias introduced there newborn son named Joseph. The son of a professional prizefighter, he got his first taste of boxing when he put on a pair of gloves at the young age of 2, he has always been in the fight game in some fashion whether it be in a court room or the squared circle, he is always up for a scrap. His drive and passion for boxing has elevated him to becoming one of the top tier promoters in the sport today. Happy birthday Joe!
