Cintron, Gatti and Margarito bouts to be shown
Boxingtalk has learned that HBO has big plans for its July 14, 2007 telecast. HBO is planning an all-welterweight triple header with bouts to be staged at two separate locations. The telecast will start from Atlantic City, where Kermit Cintron will defend his IBF 147-pound title against Walter D. Matthysse. A bout between New Jersey hero Arturo Gatti and Contender alumnus Alfonso Gomez will be up next, and then HBO will switch its telecast from Atlantic City to a location that has not been finalized yet. From that location, HBO will air Antonio Margarito defending the WBO version of the 147-pound title against Paul Williams.
