Press Release: HBO Plus' new boxing series, "Next Boxing Generation" will close out 2008 on Saturday, December 13th, with a tripleheader featuring Puerto Rican youngsters in key bouts at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.
In the main event, scheduled for ten rounds, Vega Baja junior lightweight Roman Martinez risks his 20-0 record against Colombian veteran Walter Estrada, 30-7.
In the eight-round junior welterweight opener, Hector Sanchez (16-0) of Rio Piedras locks horns with Bogota, Colombia's Wilson Alcorro (26-10-3).
In the televised co-feature, rormer WBA flyweight Champion Eric Morel (39-2) continues his quest for another title as he returns to San Juan to take on former contender Ricardo "Chapo" Vargas (39-13-3) of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico in a ten-round bantamweight bout.

Unbeaten lightweight Hylon Williams (6-0, 1 KO), who has yet to lose a round in his pro campaign, will take on Bayamon's Carlos Diaz (10-16-4, 7 KO's) in a six-round contest. A six-round junior lightweight bout features Marcos Jimenez (14-1, 8 KO's) of Santo Domingo facing off against Jesus Perez (25-22-3, 14 KO's) of Bogota, Colombia. Toa Baja's Eric Cruz (5-1-1, 5 KO's) will face off against Guayaman's Carlos Claudio (8-4-1, 2 KO's) in a junior lightweight bout.Â
