Guzman's new manager apologizes to WBO president

On behalf of WBO junior featherweight titlist Joan Guzman, Jose Nunez has issued a public apology to WBO president Francisco Varcacel for the allegedly false allegations brought upon Valcarcel by Guzman's former manager, Rafael Guerrero. "The thoughts and false allegations that came from Mr. Rafael Guerrero never did, nor do they now, reflect the opinions of the rest of us. We acknowledge and respect all the work that Mr. Varcacel has put into this boxing organization. I also wanted to inform Mr. Varcacel that Guerrero is no longer the manager to Joan Guzman and will not be around to hinder his career. Guzman is honored to be representing the WBO and we look forward to continue doing this for years to come. Once again our deepest apologies for any inconveniences that Mr. Guerrero might have caused you," Nunez stated earlier today.
