In preparation for his first defense of the IBF Featherweight title he won just a month ago here at Staples Center, Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero returned to Los Angeles today to finish training for his November 4 battle with top-rated contender Orlando Salido, to be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.  This action-packed bout will be the Semi-Main Event to the Floyd Mayweather – Carlos Baldomir WBC world welterweight championship fight to be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View.
 
Under the supervision of his trainer John Bray, the new star of the Bay Area, will conduct his daily workouts at the Northridge Athletic Club and sparring sessions at Freddy Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Hollywood.
 
Guerrero (19-1-1, 11 KOs), coming off a sensational performance against Eric “Mighty Mouse” Aiken for the IBF Featherweight title, punished the champ with a relentless body attack that forced the champion into submission following the eighth round.
 
His upcoming opponent Salido (27-9-2, 18 KOs) has won 14 of his last 15 fights, including nine via knockout.  Like Guerrero, Salido brings an aggressive, forward-offensive style attack that shapes up as a toe-to-toe war and a fight fan’s fight.
