Roberto Guerrero TKO8 Eric Aiken... Robert Guerrero got the first major win of his career in Los Angeles on Saturday when Eric Aiken surrendered the IBF featherweight title on his stool after eight one-sided rounds in Guerrero's favor. The southpaw Guerrero dominated the action, drawing blood from Aiken;'s mouth and puffing up his eye. Chris John remains the legitimate world featherweight champion thanks to defeating Juan Manuel Marquez, who was wrongly stripped of the IBF title, but Guerrero is just 23 years old and looks to be one of the bright stars of boxing's very near future. After couple of title defenses at 126, he should be ready to join the mix of super fights in the 130 pound division. Aiken, a complete unknown just five months ago, faces an uncertain future after a roller coaster six months in which he lost a six round club fight, shocked ex-champion Tim Austin as a late replacement, won a world title against Valdemir Pereira when Pereira was DQ'd on low blows, and now gave up the title on his stool. Overall, he is just 16-5. source: Showtime Championship Boxing
