Greenberg, Santana added to Briggs undercard in NYC

Press Release: While Shannon Briggs and Sultan Ibragimov determine boxing’s present when  they battle for the WBO heavyweight title on Saturday, March 10, 2007 two of boxing’s rising stars, heavyweight Roman Greenberg and junior welterweight Edgar Santana, will represent the future in intriguing undercard bouts at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.  Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing, said “Both have the skill, style, and heart to become stars, and fight fans will get to see them in action on March 10, if they are fortunate enough to get a ticket.” Only 24 years old, Israeli heavyweight Roman Greenberg (24-0, 17 KOs) is 6’3’’ and 240 lbs, and with the ability to box or bang in the ring. Greenberg holds a regional title plus wins over tested veterans Kendrick Releford and Julius Francis, and in his last bout he knocked out Steve Pannell in three rounds. Roman was born in Russia, lived in Austria and moved to Israel when he was 11. He currently resides in Haifa, Israel, but also has a residence and trains in England. A proud native of Manati, Puerto Rico who now makes his home in New York City’s Spanish Harlem, Edgar ‘El Chamaco’ Santana (20-2, 13 KOs) has won fifteen in a row since 2003.
