The Grandy Twins have spent much of their lives in front of a camera. At five years old, Steven Grandy (4-0, 4 KOs) and Daniel Grandy (4-0, 3 KOs) became internet sensations after videos of their boxing skills spread across social media, introducing millions to the twin brothers. Their popularity led to national television appearances and recognition from prominent figures in sports and entertainment. Now, more than a decade later, the 17 year-old brothers are preparing for their August 14th return to the ring by training in Tampa, Florida, with International Boxing Hall of Famers Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright. The training camp comes ahead of BiYu Promotions' show at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas, where the brothers will compete in separate four-round bouts.

 

Steven, a junior lightweight, will face Gerardo Chavez Reyes (3-5, 2 KOs). "This is something we've dreamed about," said Steven. "Growing up, we watched Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright compete against the best fighters in the world. Now they're taking time to teach us, correct us and help us improve. That's something we don't take lightly. We're undefeated, but we know we still have a lot to learn," he continued. "That's why we're here. We want to become complete fighters."

 

Daniel, a lightweight, will face Eduardo Tarango (1-5). "Being around champions changes the way you think," Daniel said. "Coach Tarver and Coach Winky have seen everything in boxing. They're teaching us little details that make a huge difference. It's not just about throwing punches. It's about being smarter, staying disciplined and understanding the sport at another level. We're grateful for this opportunity because a lot of young fighters never get this kind of experience. We're going to take everything we learn here and bring it back home on August 14th."

 

Promoter Bobby Harrison believes the camp will help prepare the brothers for the next stage of their careers. "Steven and Daniel have always had talent," Harrison said. "Learning from fighters like Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright gives them something you can't teach overnight. Those men understand what it takes to compete at the highest level, and they're helping prepare these young fighters for where we believe they're headed."

 

The Grandy Twins will return to the ring on August 14th at Constellation Field in Sugar Land as part of BiYu Promotions' "Fights Under the Lights."
