Goossen Tutor Wins Campbell-Peden II Purse Bid

Goossen-Tutor Promotions needed just $76,500 to win the purse bid for the vacant IBF junior lightweight title fight between Robbie Peden and Nate Campbell. Peden-Campbell II is expected to take place in Australia in early 2005. Peden and Campbell will each earn $38,250 for the bout. Despite shunning Lou DiBella's $65,000 offer, and now making $27,000 less than he would have had he accepted DiBella's offer, Campbell is content with his decision. "This was a matter of principle to me, now that everyone knows what I'm making and there's no way to change what I'm going to make, I'm just going to focus all my energy on destroying Robbie Peden," stated Campbell to Boxingtalk.com minutes ago.
