Good day for USA at amateur worlds

Day two of the 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships opened on Monday in China and featherweight Mark Davis of Cleveland won for the second time in the young tournament. Overall, the United States went 3-1 on day two, to bring the nation's record to 5-2 so far in the tournament. Davis picked up a 23-11 decision over Ukraine’s Bulenkov Dmytro.Llight welterweight Karl Dargan, out of the fighting city of Philadelphia outclassed Carl Heild of the Bahamas 21-1 to earn a third-round stoppage. Heavyweight Adam Willett of Bay Shore, New York also got into the win column, topping Rosberg Jarno Anterno of Finland by a count of 24-8. Light flyweight Vincent Montoya of Wyoming was unable to overcome Bulgarian Salim Basriev Salimov. The American fell behind early, came back to win the second round, but ultimately was defeated, 35-12. source: USA Boxing
