"After reading Antonio Tarver's interview it sounds like he's coming up with excuses to not have to face Bernard Hopkins. The fact is we have negotiated dilligently with his promotional team to make this fight happen and are in fact very close to getting everything ironed out. Based on contracts drafted that have circulated for the last few days, most of the items Antonio Tarver brings up have already been agreed upon by me and his Team. Either he's a confused man or a scared man. Secondly as it relates to donating $250,000 to charity, it was Antonio Tarver who said he would donate his entire purse to charity if he didn't knock Bernard Hopkins out inside of five rounds. Bernard doesn't want to take advantage of Antonio Tarver and showed mercy by only asking for $250,000 from his purse. By the way, he won't show that same mercy in the ring come June 10. If Antonio Tarver doesn't want to fight Bernard Hopkins he should simply say so and not come up with excuses."
