Golden Boy Promotions' Oscar De La Hoya is threatening to stop Ryan Garcia's planned December 30th exhibition contest in Tokyo against kickboxer Rukiya Anpo. De La Hoya tweeted the following: "Golden Boy Promotions has exclusive rights to Ryan Garcia’s fights. The organizers of this event have acknowledged as such and have agreed in writing that our sign-off is needed for this event to occur. As no such sign-off has been given, as of today there is no event with Ryan Garcia."  It remains to be seen whether Golden Boy will take the necessary legal steps to block the Tokyo event. Perhpas Golden Boy will simply make a deal and accept a licensing fee to allow the event to go forward.
