Demetrius Hopkins Newest Addition To GBP Stable!

Boxingtalk.com has learned that junior welterweight prospect Demetrius Hopkins, 16-0, 6 KOs, will be joining his uncle, undisputed middleweight king Bernard Hopkins as the newest member of the Golden Boy Promotions family. And it looks like they aren’t wasting any time keeping him busy as his first bout under the Golden Boy Banner will take place February 19th against an opponent to be named, on the undercard of his uncle’s record breaking twentieth title defense against Howard Eastman. Once Boxingtalk.com caught wind of the news, it contacted Demetrius to get his thoughts on former promoter Dino Duva (Duva Boxing).  Hopkins shouted “Free at last, thank God almighty I’m free at last” and stated that he is extremely excited to be a part of the Golden Boy Family alongside his uncle.
