"If he's challenging me, I'm challenging him right back!"

Former Light Heavyweight World Champion Glen Johnson responds to Roy Jones Jr's comment that he would " Jump right back in there with him". In an interview conducted by Boxingtalk Publisher Greg Leon, Roy Jones made the comment that he would " Jump right back in there with Glen Johnson, or Antonio Tarver. Well it didn't take long for the former World Champion Glen Johnson to respond to that.


BT - Glen, firstly I would like to get your thoughts on what appears to be a no go with the Roy Jones vs Bernard Hopkins fight.

GJ - Well I don't know what all of the facts are, but you got two guys with big ego's in negotiations. It's hard to get things done under those circumstances sometimes. I am sorry that the fight looks off, but we'll see what happens.

BT - Glen, Boxingtalk's Publisher Greg Leon interviewed Roy Jones Jr earlier this evening. Roy made the comment that he would " Jump right back in there with you, or Antonio Tarver". What is your response to that?

GJ - I welcome that fight, that's a fight that I am looking forward to. I had hoped that a fight between Glen Johnson, and Roy Jones Jr already could have happened. I am still waiting in the wings to see when it's going to happen, Roy needs to stop talking about it, and be about it. We can get this fight done, and it's a fight that the people would definitely want to see. Roy Jones still has a lot of fans, and he has a lot to prove. The people know that I am the toughest guy out there, and if Roy can do it against me, than he can do it against anyone.

BT - Glen, anything else you want to say in closing?

GJ - Let Roy Jones Jr know that if he is challenging me, I am challenging him right back! Let's get this done!
