Glen Johnson dominates Richard Hall

Hollywood, FL - Former Light Heavyweight Champion Glen Johnson added another entry to the win column with a Unanimous Decision over Richard Hall on Friday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Johnson dominated the action but Hall (27-6, 25 KOs), who had not fought in more than 18 months, proved his mettle once again with a spirited effort over 12 tough rounds. In the second frame, Johnson unleashed a relentless combination Knocking Hall into the ropes prompting the referee to score a knockdown (stadning 8 count). It would be Johnson's first of several attempts to end the fight early.  He staggered Hall in the 6th and by the 8th round he found a home for his jab - straight right hand combination. In the 11th round Johsnon had his opponent hurt and in serious trouble but Hall was able to escape the round. Johnson improves to 44-10-2, 29 KOs.  Scores were 118-109, 119-108, 119-107.

In the cofeature of this Warriors Boxing promotion,  Joel "El Cepillo" Casamayor stopped Antonio Ramirez (24-11-6, 17 KOs) 26 seconds into the 5th round. Casamayor, the former Super Featherweight champion, won the fight easily as expected, but was somewhat careless as he sought to walk through his opponent which caused him to get countered more than you might expect for an elite level fighter facing this level of opposotion.  With the win, Casamayor improves to (32-3-1, 20 KOs) and has likely secured a title fight against WBA Lightweight Champion Jaun Diaz as previously reported on Boxingtalk.com
