Glaser Inks Arroyo

PRESS RELEASE: Promoter Rick Glaser proudly announces the signing of Buffalo, New York’s 140-pound punching terror, Vincent Arroyo, to a long-term promotional agreement. “Although Vincent was a two-time National Junior Champion, he’s been waiting two years for the opportunity to turn professional,” said Glaser, “I’ve known Vincent for several years now and the first time I met him, he told me the day he turned 18 he would sign with me. Last week , Vincent called me and told me Sunday was his 18th birthday and to get our contract ready. I got together with him and his family and we worked out a very amicable deal.”

Having worked with many champions in his 13 years in professional boxing, Glaser knows talent when he sees it. “This kid will be a senior at Sweet Home High in Amherst, NY, this coming September and he’s already a murderous puncher. He’s young, good looking and the strongest junior welterweight I have ever seen. The boxing world got a new Puerto Rican American superstar today because nothing is going to stop Vincent’s ascent to the top of the junior welterweight division.”

University of Buffalo Boxing Coach Dean Eoannou agrees. “This kid is going to do serious damage. With his strength and power, he handles fighters much larger than himself with ease. He has all the tools, and he’s going to be an incredible professional.”

Arroyo joins lightweight sensation Hector Alejandro Jr. in Glaser’s stable of up-and-coming contenders. He will be trained by Rick Diaz, who is also the trainer of Alejandro. “Anything less than a world championship for Vincent will greatly disappoint me. He has got it all.”

The specifics of his first professional fight will be announced shortly. For more information, contact Rick Glaser at (716) 636-7474 or (716) 907-7400.
