Michael Eifert W12 Jean Pascal... Former world light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal was upset by little-known German Michael Eifert in a fight held in Pascal's hometown of Laval, Quebec. Youth trumped experience as Eifert, age 25, defeated Pascal, age 40, by unanimous decision. Official scores were 118-110, 117-111 and 115-113. Pascal complained it was a bad decision, but the Montreal Gazette saw it 116-112 for Eifert, who is now 12-1 as a pro. The fight was an IBF light heavyweight eliminator, meaning Eifert is now in line for a shot at three-belt champion Artur Beterbiev, who is also based in Quebec.
