Gatti to test the waters at welterweight!

In a conference call today to hype the June 25 Gatti vs. Mayweather fight, Arturo Gatti stated that he desires to move up to 147 to test the waters in a welterweight bout. Gatti wants to fight a ten round fight first to see how his body reacts to the different weight class. Gatti, who often puts on 15 to 20 pounds before each fight, walks around at 168- 170. Moving up a weight division may help him in the long run. If Gatti can defeat Floyd Mayweather, he will have some lucrative fights available to him with the talent rich welterweight division. More to come
