Boxingtalk.com has been informed that WBC junior welterweight champion Arturo "Thunder" Gatti will likely face former world champion Jesse James Leija at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on HBO World Championship Boxing in January 2005. Super Bowl Sunday eve appears to be the likely date, but the fight is already all but done for January. Leija shocked Francisco "Panchito" Bojado when he fought on the July 24 under card of Gatti-Dorin. In case you were wondering, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still in fact Gatti's mandatory challenger.
