PRESS RELEASE:  Ian "The Cobra" Gardner 18-2  7ko's will make his return to the ring on July 5th against battle tested veteran Marcos "The Terminator" Primera 19-10-2  12ko's.
The card will be televised on ESPN2 and is promoted by Cappiello Promotions. Gardner is coming off of a 12 round close unanimous decision loss at the hands of the unbeaten Armenian star Arthur Abraham. "I gave that fight away," Gardner said from his training camp in Brockton,MA. "I wasn't hurt but I got caught off balance a couple of times and went down. That proved to be the difference in the scoring" Primera is coming off of a decision win over Julio Garcia and since the beginning of 2003 his opponents have a combined record of 302-42-14. He has fought nothing but top contender's in Jermain Taylor, Robert Frazier, Joachime Alcine, Kofi Jantuah, Danny Perez, Aslanbek Kodzoev, Quentin Smith, and Kingsley Ikeke.  Gardner's most noteworthy wins have come against Tukunbo Olajide and Kuvanych Toyganbayev. The co-feature bout has Rasheem 'The Untouchable One" Brown 15-2  13ko's fighting against an opponent soon to be named.
