PRESS RELEASE: Langel’s Pizza 2833 Highway Ave. in Highland, Indiana has been selected to host the July 7 weigh-in for the next day's “Battle of Independence” show.  The card itself will be held at the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza in nearby Merrillville.   Promoted by One In A Million, the show will feature lightweight Johnny Novak and middleweight Jimmy “The Fighting Schoolteacher” Holmes in separate bouts. Another boxer who will appear on the show recently performed on the national stage: Ruben “The Modern Day Warrior” Galvan  showed courage and gave Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. a hard time before the bout was topped against his will.   The “Battle of Independence” will also feature Jermaine “Too Sweet” White and “Merciless” Mary McGee making her second professional appearance.  The weigh-in is open to the public at Langel’s Thursday, July 7th at 7:00 PM.  For tickets, call the Star Plaza Box Office 219-769-6600 or Ticketmaster.
