On an IBA Champions' Night show on October 17th at the Ufa Arena in Ufa (Bashkortan), Russia, Muslim Gadzhimagomedov (4-0) will defend his WBA bridgerweight title against Leon Harth (22-5-1) of Germany. A two-time world amateur champion, Gadzhimagomedov claimed the vacant WBA title after a TKO victory over Zhaoxin Zhang from China at the IBA Champions’ Night in July. Harth fought for the same title late in 2023. He lost to Evgeny Tischenko but that was changed to a no contest due to a positive doping test for Tischenko. Also on the October 17th show will be Russia's Albert Batyrgaziev defending his IBA title in the 60 kilogram (roughly 132 pounds) division against Albert Pagara from the Philippines in a ten rounder. An Olympic champion, Batyrgaziev (10-0) is also recognized as the WBA interim champion at 130 pounds. Pagara has 35 victories with 24 KOs in his record and one loss.
Batyrgaziev won his IBA title in a tight contest with Lazaro Alvarez from Cuba last December in Dubai. Since then, the Russian boxer celebrated another victory in Serpukhov against Jono Carroll from Ireland where he was awarded the WBA interim title.
In a super featherweight bout on the show, Russia 's Artur Subhkankulov (6-0) is set for ten rounds against Wensong Liu (11-3-1) from China.
At welterweight, Russia's Danis Gabdrafikov (3-0) challenges Jean Junior Messe Elime (8-1) from Cameroon in a six-round contest.
In an opening bout, Vasily Egorov from Russia faces Immanuel Josef from Namibia at flyweight.
Azaliya Amineva from Russia, who had her debut as a professional boxer at the IBA Champions’ Night earlier this year, will face off against Sahiba Raj from India in a women’s 66kg (145.5 lbs) division contest.
