Boxingtalk.com has learned from trainer Freddie Roach that one of his fighters, Diosdado Gabi, was taken off the big Las Vegas undercard due to his opponent either pulling out or being unable to participate in the fight. Roach said, "Gabi's opponent pulled out at the last minute. We tried to find a last minute replacement but we weren't able to find anyone. I turned down a southpaw replacement, and we thought we may have had a replacement out of Mexico, but he couldn't get the paperwork done". Roach went on to say, "We have been promised that Gabi will fight in two weeks in Arizona". Gabi lost a flyweight title shot to Vic Darchinyan earlier this year but came back to destroy faded ex-champ Mauricio Pastrana in one round back in August.
