GGG starches Rolls in four

Gennadiy Golovkin KO4 Steve Rolls... Former world middleweight champion Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin returned to action with a satisfying win over Canada's Steve Rolls in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Saturday. For three rounds, Golovkin, fighting at a 164-pound catchweight, got hit a bit more than expected, but he made everything right with an emphatic left to the jaw that knocked Rolls out in round four. It was the first career loss in twenty pro fights for Rolls, but he had never faced anyone close to GGG's caliber.  Still, Rolls performed well for three rounds and did not disgrace himself. Golovkin had not fought since his second championship fight vs. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in 2018. The two Alvarez-Golovkin fights were scored a draw and a win for Alvarez, but many feel GGG should have been named the winner of both. The 37 year-old Golovkin (39-1-1) is campaigning for a third Alvarez fight, but the final decision seems to rest with Alvarez, who has other very lucrative options. source: dazn
