Fulton looking forward to featherweight debut

Former two-belt 122-pound champion Stephen Fulton Jr. held a media workout in his hometown of Philadelphia on Wednesday ahead of his next fight, scheduled for Saturday, September 14th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fulton will duel Carlos Castro in a new weight class, featherweight, that headlines a three-fight PBC on Prime Video lineup. The live-streaming action will begin at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT and be available via free access to all fans, regardless of Prime membership or purchase of the Canelo Alvarez pay-per-view card it leads into. Here is what Fulton had to say Wednesday from the DSG Boxing Gym in Philadelphia:

“From what I’ve seen, Castro likes to box. He likes to use his length against fighters, but I think I have him beat there.

“It’s gonna be really good to get back in the ring. I’m ready to show everyone a different Stephen Fulton Jr. on September 14th.

“I don’t feel any pressure and I’m not worried about the layoff. I’m just focused on Carlos Castro.

“I definitely want to redeem myself after the loss. That’s why I’m training hard to be at my best in this fight.

“I’m gonna be a little more comfortable at the new weight. I’m ready for whatever comes my way. It’s important for me to get back in this fight and go from there.”
