Froch continues to talk smack

Press Release: Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch has promised to knock out long-term rival Tony Dodson on November 24, 2006 when he attempts to defend his British super middleweight title in front of his loyal hometown fan base on a Hennessy Sports event at the Nottingham Arena. The undefeated 29-year-old spoke about the long-awaited showdown during an interview he gave to the web-site of the high-flying Nottingham Panthers.  “I have been scheduled to fight him a couple of times,” Froch  explained. “When he was British champion (in early 2004), I was his mandatory and he chose not to fight me. He was training for the fight and he pulled out with an injury - bad back, bad leg. Then he fell off his bike – bad knee. The excuses kept coming out. It does seem he’s been training for this fight for over two years. He’s had a long-time to prepare for me, to get himself set and ready. He’ll come and he’ll be bringing a big force with him. He’ll be trying to upset the Carl Froch train, but it’s not happening. I’m going to make a promise to my fans this time: I’m going to do a good job and knock him spark out. I don’t usually say that, I don’t usually threaten people with knockouts, but I’m definitely going to do a number on him. It’s going to be one to watch." Tickets for Froch-Dodson at the Nottingham Arena on November 24th are now on sale at 0870 121 0123.
