Freitas returns to Foxwoods on November 19!

And the IBF continues to disrespect the true featherweight champion!

On November 19, Acelino Freitas will return to his second home, the lovely  Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut, where his last two fights have taken place. Popo returns against Michael Katsidis in an eliminator to become mandatory challenger to the WBO lightweight champion, currently Diego Corrales. Freitas and Katsidis are expected to fight at 5PM EST in order to accomodate his huge following in Brazil. On the undercard, Valdermir Pireeira is expected to face F.Rakkiatgym for the vacant IBF featherweight title that was unjustly stripped from featherweight king Juan Manuel Marquez. So, let me get this straight, first the IBF finds the audacity to name F.Rakkiatgym a mandatory challenger to the best featherweight in the world. Then, two purse-bids are held and no promoter takes the time to put up the minimum bid of $50,000 largely because of the IBF's horrific decision to place Rakkiatgym as mandatory. Next, the IBF, as they have done so, so many times, decides to strip a true champion because of their own stupidity. And now, the same mis-mandatory is set to receive an opportunity to fight for a world title, while the true champion who should've never been stripped is forced to watch as a spectator. With the powerful aroma of cow-dung that must be eminating out of Ms. President's office following her questionable decisions, one has to wonder if she smells this lawsuit coming.
